Let’s talk about health communications

From not-for-profit campaigns to news media and health service delivery – the way we communicate health matters. It can positively influence the health and well-being of people and populations.

While quality communications can do so much good, it can be a challenge to make sure communications hit the mark.

Kate May is a health promotion and communications consultant based in Melbourne. She works with public, private and not-for-profit organisations to support health, communications, engagement and research projects.

Kate is also a strong advocate for women’s health, using her understanding of public health and lived experience of chronic illness to drive change.

My approach

I My work is all about authentic engagement. It comes from the simple fact that I love what I do, and the sector we work in.

I understand the challenges of promoting health to individuals and populations, but thrive finding creative solutions to complex issues.

I work with people. That means taking the time to listen deeply and develop meaningful relationships.
